Baby Showers
Today I choose to complain about those who don't want to find out what the sex of their baby is. I know it's not my business but if they want a nice gift from me they really should find out what they are having, right! I'm going to my sister-in-law's shower this weekend and, (they don't want to know the sex) I guess I'll be making a green blanket to go with other boring, but essential items. Okay, I'm over it now. Thanks blogger for being my venting journal today!

I love this photo of my dad and Sevan at my friend Leigha's wedding. Believe it or not, Trent took this picture. Taking photos is the only thing that keeps him quiet during weddings. I had to erase 50 pictures from uncle Ben's wedding.

This is a cake that I've wanted to do for a long time. It has phrases written all over like "Happily Ever After" and "True Love".

I took this photo yesterday after I had my kiddos do some modeling for me. I just got a delivery of new products and I couldn't find any exciting photos of them from the company so I put the kids to work and they loved it! I have to admit they are precious kids. Tonight I asked Trent why he is so cute, "becuz God made me that way." "Who is God?" "The Man." That's right, preach it!

Those tutus are super easy to make
I made that one for my niece who is 3 1/2 and it was so easy. It takes about 5 yards of tulle (for that fullness), thin elastic, and then ribbon or flowers glued on with fabric glue. The only thing you have to sew is the elastic together then you can just tie the tulle on to that. I can explain this into more detail if anyone wants help on this project. Happy Crafting!

A different kind of baby blues
Taylor's Graduation
Cha cha cha changes...
Do you notice anything different with this young lady? Taylor just got her ears pierced and she likes to pretend that no one will recognize her because of this new look. I remember getting mine done as a nine year old and my sister threw a big fit, that's right Michelle, because she had to wait until she was like 10. So I'll probably continue the tradition and let Sevan get her ears done when she's two!

My Dad, The Artist

This is one of my favorite paintings that my dad did. The background is snow peak and it's a place we would drive up to in the late fall when the vine maples are bright red and sometimes there would be a little snow on the ground. It's a peak that is so close to my parent's house that it looks like a mountain. The flowers in the picture are Lupine, Indian Paintbrush, and Bear grass. I was probably five years old when I learned all the names of these flowers from my parents. When most kids were drawing cats and dogs in grade school, I was drawing a red tailed hawk. Being outside and learning about God's creation was one of my favorite memories of my childhood.
This is an article written about my dad:
